Pinetop and Lakeside merged into a single town and are usually shopped as one market. It's one of the most established second-home areas in the White Mountains, with lakes such as Rainbow Lake and Woodland Lake Park, several golf communities, and easy access to winter skiing.
Communities range from golf and country club neighborhoods like Pinetop Country Club and Pinetop Lakes to wooded cabin areas such as White Mountain Summer Homes. HOAs are common, and their rules on rentals, building and tree removal vary a lot from one community to the next.
As in all of the high country, utilities differ by property — some homes are on town or district services, others on wells or septic — and wildfire preparedness and winter access are part of every purchase. We check all of it before you commit.
